Buero Vallejo Municipal Theater - Wednesday, December 14, 2022 - 6:30 p.m.

On this occasion, together with the Municipal Band, the Mixed Voices Choir of Alcorcón will perform. Both groups will offer us an emotional concert where, in addition to the traditional band and choir repertoire, we will listen to songs that will take us back to the transition years. Themes by Jarcha, Víctor Manuel or Mocedades among others, will make us evoke that historic period.

V Campanilleros Contest Andalusian Cultural House

Buero Vallejo Municipal Theater - Friday, December 16, 2022 - 7:00 p.m.

The Andalusian Cultural House organizes this contest in which the following groups:

• Choir of the House of Andalusia in Madrid, Choir Rociero Los Jaralillos de Alcorcón,
• The Rociero Guadalquivir Choir from Leganés and the Rociero Azahara Choir from the Casa Andaluza de Alcorcón will sing different Christmas carols in the flamenco-bell ringer style.

One more year the Manuel de Falla Municipal School-Conservatory of our municipality will be in charge of offering the traditional Christmas concert. On this occasion they will accompany, among others, the Russian violinist Elena Mikhailova, the soprano Pilar Tejero and the tenor Eduardo Pomares, and the percussionists Alfredo Anaya and Alberto Román.

New Year's Concert 'From Madrid to Vienna, from Madrid to Heaven'

COAM Orchestra and Alcorcón Polyphonic Choir

Did you know that Johann Strauss composed several works dedicated to Spain? Here we tell you why, under the direction of Jesús Campo Ibáñez at the head of the COAM Orchestra, Madrid Academic Orchestral Ensemble. The first part begins in Madrid, with the world premiere of a magnificent pasodoble by the young Madrid composer Carlos Vences. From there we will travel to Vienna to discover the musical milestones of the Strauss family, remembering their most famous waltzes, polkas and marches. From Madrid to the sky. Why did the zarzuela become so popular? Here we tell you. With a selection of choirs and instrumental numbers from our great jewel, the zarzuela, and guided by Gregorio Muñoz de la Calle conducting the Alcorcón Polyphonic Choir and the COAM Orchestra.
